My industry requires continuing education to maintain my license. I go above and beyond those requirements to ensure that I bring the best knowledge and credentials to my clients.
Real estate agents are licensed by the State of New York. Most real estate agents obtain their Sales Agent license, and remain at that level. An Associate Broker is a higher level of licensure, which requires proven work experience, an additional course of study, and a state test. Maintaining an Associate Broker’s license reflects the additional education and training I have accomplished. (In New York State, only the owner of an agency is a “Broker,” even though the Associate Broker license reflects the same level of training and experience.)
Certified Buyer Representative (CBR):
The CBR designation is earned after an extensive course of study that addresses the specific needs of buyers, and requires a through understanding of New York State Law of Buyer Agency. The CBR identifies agents with the highest level of education and expertise in serving buyers, including relocation.
Not every REALTOR® acting as a buyer’s agent has been certified. The CBR designation assures you that I have been trained and will perform the highest level of client service, working in your best interest to meet your personal needs in your next real estate transaction.
Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES):
My SRES designation was earned after successfully completing an extensive course of study and testing designed to help REALTORS® better understand the needs of the senior population. As a SRES®, I have demonstrated requisite knowledge and expertise to counsel senior clients through the major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling a house.
